Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond

So I made my claim on Sunday, and it went by like a breeze...Asurion billed me 50 bones to my sprint acct and pretty much overnited me a touch diamond.

I was considering selling it on Ebay..and gettin another Touch. But it looks like a sweet phone so I've been charging for the last 8+ hours waiting for white ring to appear on the bottom of the phone.

i saw a post saying how you can look and see what asurion is replacing for my phone. how do i do this?

and i could just be really wanting that diamond so i came up with this. (please tell me if im nuts or just stupid) with if i told vzw i got a diamond from a friend and or new whatever works set up with it thru asurion and file a clam? is that risky? would they know?( i assume a 2 year old would see it coming) im sorry this is a stupid question i ask cuz im vzw and cant get this yet but really want it. thanks

Yes, we had to mail it in.

Sad thing is the TP's keyboard crashed yesterday and the screen is not working right. I think there is a short in the device somewhere. Asurion is supposed to be mailing out another one... but it has been right at 24 hours ( a little over actually ) and the claim on the computer still says wait 24 hours my claim is being processed.

I am really curious about this because the guy on the phone stated he was sending me a diamond... I told him that I had a Pro, why would he send a diamond... He was really hard to understand... I did make him confirm more than once it would be NIB...

Wish I knew if it was coming in today or not...

EDIT: it is coming in today. Should be any minute now... and it is a NIB touch pro.

Just my two cents in here, just had my Touch's touch screen go out couple days ago, instead of going thru web or customer service to do claim I went to the actual sprint store. They still have original Touch in their warehouse for shipment as replacement if you still want the original Touch instead of the new Diamond or TP.

just to let you guys know, my gf's screen stopped responding and she went to the store and they replaced her touch with another touch. no diamond, but she likes that phone anyway so shes happy

Major_Nate, who works in a Sprint service center, informed me via PM that Sprint service centers and Asurion are no longer sharing the same distribution warehouse for replacement handsets.

I believe Asurion is still replacing broken HTC Touch's with the Diamond.

You Sprint people are lucky, Alltels throwing Titans at me saying it the same thing. Don't get me wrong the Titan's all right, but with half the ram and the set back screen going from a touch to a titan aint for me. My brothers screen went on his touch and thats what alltel gave him as a replacment. After I loaded roms on it and saw the preformance diffrence between his old phone and it I tried taking it back for him, but they wouldn't accept it. It was less than an hour since he had gotten the phone too. After causing a small scene I decided to try to upgrade my phone and give him my touch. I had to activate a new line to do it, but I knew my oldest brother was having problems with ATT charging him roaming everywhere after they bought out Cell One here in Ohio ( 50 unlimited plan went to 150). So I did that paid like $400 at the store was supposed to get a rebate, but i lost my reciept. Then 2 weeks later my touch I gave to my brother got stolen and so i did the claim over the phone (didnt know you could the model you were getting) went to couple diffrent alltel stores and they wont give a touch because they have him in the system for the titan now. So he never paid the $100 deductable to get the phone. He eventually bought a sprint TP off craigslist (we survived the meeting lol) and I activated it on Alltel. Long story short F*** Alltel too bad they have an awesome network now, with goo phone.
