Cricket EVDO Cincinnati

Hey i live in Cincinnati, i have a htc touch fully flashed to cricket, i am using a supposed evdo prl file. I do however have the [EV] In the top corner of the phone but my internet doesnt seem any faster. It still dials up #777 to connect to the internet, and i still have it set to use the proxy wap.mycricket.com, are there settings i need to change in order to take advantage of the evdo? Do i need to notify cricket that i have an evdo capable phone?
