ROM Update (Alltel, now on VZW)

I live in Oklahoma and all Alltel phone here were migrated to Verizon. I still have my HTC Touch (Vogue) that hasn't been touched since the migration. I'm not scheduled for a new phone until sometime late this year... (October). I'd like to re-flash my phone with a newer ROM but I'm worried about whether I should use a Alltel or Verizon one. I don't want to lose my EVDO coverage like this guy (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=111578). And I want my GPS to continue working quickly which was a big issue when this phone was new until I found some certain cabs that made it work correctly.

I'm currently running stock 6.1 update from HTC for Alltel.
