Input Word Completion

Some how when ever I start using the type input the word completion comes up. I hate this!!!! I have gone to the options and it is not selected. How do I turn it OFF. Also I like to use Black recognizer (and Old Palm guy) and it keeps resetting to keyboard.

<p>Click the up arrow next to the input selector as if you are going to change the input type and select 'Options...' (you can also go to Settings > Personal > Input). Go the second tab, titled 'word completion.' Uncheck the box that says 'suggest words when entering text.' Your word suggestion problem should be solved.</p>

Did this, the box is unchecked and it still comes up.

Try setting the 'suggest after entering' character count to something high, like 7. Then it will only suggest on really long words.

yeah the settings for xt9 dont affect the text keyboard settings. I've been hunting the solution also. There are other keyboards out there also but i like the block keyboard. The damn thing keeps reseting to xt9 and worse is that the send button is right below that so i keep sending out giberish by mistake. i'll post if i find the solution.
