I have an alltel vogue and I'm trying to change it to metropcs

I've download and install the latest rom: RUU_Vogue_4350_ALLTEL_WWE_3.10.671.1_RS3.42.30_NV2 .02_PRL30031_SHIP

upload the 00068 file to the PRL
Changed MIP_MODE to Simple IP Only
HDR AN AUTH User Id = 5555555555@mymetropcs.com
HDR AN AUTH Password = (ESN(Hex))
PPP USER ID = 5555555555@mymetropcs.com
PPP PASSWORD = metropcs
Then I changed my connections as follows:

wap.metropcs.net port:3128 (http)
wap.metropcs.net port:3128 (wap)
wap.metropcs.net port:443 (secure wap)
wap.metropcs.net port:3128 (socks)

username:10 digitphonenumber@mymetropcs.com
password: metropcs

Then my internet settings (username & password)keep disappearing.

What to do? What to do? So much good stuff on the forum, but I'm missing something.

I went by Metropcs on Wednesday and they told me that they couldn't flash my phone. I thought they could at least add my esn# to their system. I'm following these directions on these forums, but maybe I'm doing something wrong...

Everything is working, but my messaging is funny.

No SMS- I cannot just send messages to short codes ex. 010101.

Is there software that will allow this?

Before everyone asks, I had to find a dealer- not a metropcs store

That would flash my phone, once my phone was flashed I was able to follow the instructions on this forum and my internet and basic metro messaging works, but I would like to participate in texting to various short codes. Has anyone had any success in getting their text to work with this under metropcs? Thanks
