GPS Map Programs
I have an xv6900, got the GPS working. I have on the phone right now: Live Search, Google Maps and Google Navigator. Are there any recommendations on which nav software including maps is best? It looks like Google Navigator is a great program. I have the trial version and it requires a $59 purchase to upgrade. Google maps is free but slowwww. It only updates sats every 20 seconds. Live search is not bad, but it doesn't have an easy interface to save locations, nor does it give turn by turn verbally.
Suggestions to upgrade would be welcome. |

Re: GPS Map Programs
Better place to put this thread. I agree.
I am using the amaze program and outside of the funky looking map, it works very well. It seems to pick up the satellites better than Live Search or Google maps. Google Nav is pretty quick, I just don't have the full version. |
Re: GPS Map Programs
i use tomtom navigator 7... no data connection required, but it's HUGE because all the maps are built in (around 2GB)
otherwise, i'd recommend AmazeGPS.... free, but requires a data connection |
Re: GPS Map Programs
Agreed^^ Tomtom is awesome. I'll never go back

Re: GPS Map Programs
Tom Tom is not always free and the free maps are not welcome here.
