Angry Serious picture issue

Ive looked and searched for several hours trying to find this particular issue and have not found it.

Everytime I try to look at a picture(whether its on my phone, memory card or picture message) its gives me this error message

" the file cannot be opened. either is is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found"

Now I can see any pictures i took with the camera on my phone but any others its gives me that error. I dont have a custom rom on my phone and when i 1st started using the phone I could look at the pictures in memory card and from pic messsages etc.

Any help, suggestions or directions? I really appreciate your time

Re: Serious picture issue

If you have a backup of your phone, I would Hard Reset and see if that fixes the problem. I had a similar problem today with my Touch Pro. I couldnt even restore backups because of a NOn - Trusted Certificate. I had to Hard Reset , reinstall SPB Backup 2.0 , then tell it to upgrade my device.

Phone is back up and running with no problems now. Let me know how it goes.

Re: Serious picture issue

Thats an odd one. If the hard reset doesnt work I would check the format of the pictures. That error may be a copyright protection bull****.

Let us know if the hard reset worked please.

Or, another possibility is your pic files are getting encrypted. Maybe some are and some aren't? To check on this, you need a file explorer that shows file extension, like Total Commander, GSFinder+, or sync w/ PC. See if they are JPG (unencripted), or MENC (encripted). Another thing to look into is your protection option, here:

Start > Settings > System (tab) > Encryption

Hope something here helps, MrG
