What else is there?

I recently had to do a Hard reset on my Touch. I really like having the HTC home customizer on it to give it a better appearance than the boring stock appearance. Ever since I did my hard reset, i get the error, "an unexpected error has occured in homecust.exe" when trying to run the customizer and I cant figure out why I am getting this error (yes I have searched the net for answers). What other apps are out there like the customizer to give the phone a better appearance without having to download a new rom? Im not techie or anything but I just wanted some opinions and possible screenshots with what else is available. I have tried SPB mobile shell and didnt like it that much. Keep up the good work everyone, this site is great!

Yeah, I have tried to reinstall, but to no avail, I guess its about time to upgrade anyways. I see some sick screenshots out there, like manilla2d. I will take a look

Since you just hard reset. I would redo the hard reset or uninstall the customizer. Something must have failed on the customizer software installation so a reinstall should fix it. I have never had a problem with it. It is an outdated software with limited recent addtions although a good home cutomizer. The spb mobile shell is a software that will bring new life to your phone. you can download and try it for 15 days then you have to pay for it. there is the md2 and ultimate listed above that you can play with there is also ifonz theme and the torx theme. many of these have different skins and themes that you can play with also within the themes:

of course there are zillion aps to play with also. and you can use a cooked rom for more fun. that should keep you occuped for awhile:
