Clear my hotmail ID and password?

Forgive the newbie question - I got the answer from someone long ago and should have stored the answer. I have a Touch - I set up my hotmail through messenger on my phone. I want to clear that account - without wiping my phone. I can't seem to highlight the account and select delete and I can't figure out how to sign into messenger with a different ID or clear my ID in messenger.

so when you go to

start/programs/windows live

click on menu / account options you should see

1. clear password
2. switch windows Live ID
3. terms of use
4. privacy statement
