Phone will not audibly ring

For some reason my phone stopped ringing. The external speaker works, even when I test ring tones. and my settings are set to ring under sounds and notifications. Also yes my volume is turned up. Suggestions?

Maybe the selected sound file was deleted? Any luck picking a different ringer?

The weird thing is if I go under settings>sounds & notifications>notifications and you can set ringer type and tone for each event. For incoming call I select ring and any tone. Then you can press play to test it. There it works?? then a call comes in, and Nothing??

Save you self time of fooling around with it and just backup then hard reset...If that doesn't fix it then its a defect in your device...Maybe you installed something that is conflicting...It could really be lots of things ...

Something dumb, but is the "ringer" volume turned off, when you use the rocker it adjusts the volume on the left, check the volume bar to the right of that one.

You gota be #$&*@!$ kidding me!!! I have been through ever menu a dozen times. I thought that was ear piece volume. How lame.

How lame of me for not figuring that out.

It also fooled the guy at the sprint service center. They were going to replace it but I didnt want to go through setting it all up again.

Well I am happy its working and I dont have to redo everything!!
