HTC Touch Amber light problem

Got a HTC Touch replacement 3 months back. It always shows the amber light "ON" on the top and shows the Battery is in Charging mode and 100%. But the battery will last for 45-60 min continues talk or 10-15 minutes browsing.

If anyone know the tweak, please let me know.

Earlier I have upgraded to Sprint version 6.1 and still no good.

I am despiratly looking for the solution
