Battery always at 0%

Hey everyone,

I just purchased a used Touch from ebay.
I was so excited, but not so much anymore

I charged the phone all nite, this morning I grabbed it and saw that the light was still orange. BTW, it was plugged in the wall to charge
I open the power settings and see 0%

So I tried a few things, like soft reseting, removing the battery then my final step was the hard reset. Nothing worked.
Is the battery dead? Or I am the only one with this issue?
I am also wanting to upgrade to the
RUU_Vogue_BM_WWE_3.09.666.1_Radio3.42.50_Ship
for Bell Mobility. Since the phone always show 0%, I can't upgrade

looking forward to your help
thanks

Re: Battery always at 0%

if it's hot it won't charge also, make sure it's in an area that's not too hot or otherwise it will never charge. if it's already too hot then try to cool it down by turning it off and/or unplugging it for a few minutes, then try again.

Re: Battery always at 0%

i will probably try the new battery.
as for the heat issues, the phone is sitting on the kitchen table.
When i touch the phone, its nice and cool, not even warm..

thanks again for the replies

BTW, I just noticed that the phone never goes into sleep mode by itself.
If I hit the power button, it will sleep and never wake up until I soft reboot
Will the upgrade fix this issue?

Re: Battery always at 0%

That may be a issue with battery strength...test your new battery and then update as needed!!!

Re: Battery always at 0%

It might be saying 0% and orange LED but it could be at 100%. I had the same problem with my old apache and a car charger. It would always read 0% while charging and then when i disconnected and used it for a little while it would begin showing the correct charge. I would also suspect the charger.
