8GB Micro SDHC shows 1GB on my Touch

I just bought a 8GB Micro SDHC through ebay. When I use my normal SD card adapter in my PC it shows capacity as 8GB but refuses to copy anything beyond 1GB. When I inserted that card on my Touch it shows capacity as 1GB. So is it a a bad/counterfeit card or do I need to do some registry change or some sort of specific format to be able to see the whole 8GB?

P.S.: The seller has sent me 2 cards by mistake and both cards shows 1GB capacity.
