Microsoft Live Search Interesting Problem
 

I installed the latest version of Live Search today but first I attempted to uninstall the old version on my Sprint Touch.

I couldn't find anything to uninstall so I installed the new version figuring it would install over the older version.

No such luck. Now I have two versions: LiveSearch and Live Search!

One is version 3.0xxx and the new version is 3.5xxx.

I can find no way to DELETE the old version.

I'm running the latest official ROM 6.1 Windows Mobile Professional.

Anybody know how to delete the older version?

not to ask a stupid question but have you tried using active sync to uninstall it?

The old version is part of the ROM and cannot be removed. You can just delete the shortcut in the "windows\start menu\programs" folder, just be sure you keep the shortcut that points to the "program files\live search" folder. I believe the older version just points to the windows folder.
