well the diamond has it's own prl updater in the settings or program menu

Lesson learned, don't call at 2200 and request your phones be flagged, they have no idea what your talking about.

is this supposed to be all automatic, or can you do it w/o talking to a rep? i tried saying "automatic update" and it brought me to the rebate eligibility system??? did i do something wrong?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I have always though with most sprint phones you had to call *2, talk to a tech and have them flag your account/phones for a prl update. Just hope you get a "tech" who knows what a PRL update is and not like the zombie I talked to.
Spent 10 min. on the phone while she found "someone who can understand" what I was talking about. After I was told it was flagged, just called *2 again and it updated.

Guys,

I've never had to do a PRL update yet on my touch. Just out of curiosity what am I going to gain from doing the update? I am currently at 60610. Sorry for the stupid question.

Just so you know you can update the prl yourself but unless you have a diamond you will have to call sprint and have them do the update.. I usually change the prl myself but since the the new rom update. every time I have to hard reset I have to call in and get this done... Othewise when you roam your phone will not authenticate with the other service company. Do a lot of travelling and when in fringe area and forced roam only after hard reset I couldn't make any calls. I think they are doing it to see how many people are modding and flashing their phones.
