Youtube app lunches, but when i select a video it lunches the fullscreen player, it says connecting then stays like that for 30 sec and says sorry an error has occured.

What are you running? I am on a HTC Touch with the new WDM Diamond rom lite version and it does connect...I even played a video to test because I had read about the exact issues you are describing. Oh yes and its a Spring phone too if that matters.

I installed all the apps on that link that were cabbed up and I am also running the .07 beta.

From my experimenting I've found that you need the HTC Streaming Media App. to make YouTube work properly. I found it at this link which is provided by WDM along with other Apps. you might need.

I also found that to have YouTube launch videos into the Streaming Media App. directly from their page using Opera, I had to install Opera 9.5 (build 195 after installing the cab for streaming.

I downloaded yesterday. Too many issues and bugs still need to be worked out for Touch. Youtube, internet, and music player don't work. What's worse is it's impossible to delete!. I've tried five times and it won't delete. I'm comtemplating a hard reset now. Can anyone help that has had the same issue?

OK that might work....i have it working straight from the youtube application, no work around.

I have it working both ways also but the videos seem to take a lot longer to buffer using the youtube application vs. going to youtube.com through the Opera browser.

Deleting is a problem I have SKtools which does delete it completely There is a 7 day trial with it so you can try that.

My Music works great as does internet youtube was working but I changed the Youtube link to SKYFIRE don't use youtube that much. If you check the other thread on TFL2D there are links to all kinds of fixes

BTW, I've been using this for about 3 or 4 days now (it's been on the Vogue Upgrades forum here on PPCGeeks for about a week). Everything works as expected (except the people page doesn't dial directly, but takes me to the contact), but I have two major issues:

1) Random slow-downs. Slow to the point that it feels like the phone is locked up, but after 20, 30, 40 seconds, it starts responding again.
2) Battery drain. I tested last night and after 7 hours, my battery was down to 50%. That was with NO use. No calls, no surfing, no nothing. I do have 4 email accounts set up and they poll every 15 minutes.

I like the software, but don't know if I'll continue to use it because of these two issues.
