Screen turns on between EVDO and 1x

I have this same problem on my Sprint Touch, and all I can say is that months of postings and searching on every forum imaginable did not come up with a solution. I did come very close to returning it over the problem, as the other two Samsung phones in the house did not have the constant waking up problem, nor did they ever miss calls in my house, whereas I get about half of my calls on the Touch.

Eventually, I decided that I would simply have to live with it to get all the goodies I enjoy on the Touch that I wouldn't have on a phone. The new official 6.1 ROM that came out at the end of July did GREATLY improve my battery life; that an a powerful Igo charger from Radio Shack that recharges the battery real well helped a lot.

It seems to be something fixed into the wm operating system, and no modding geniuses that saw my messages had any neato registry settings to change the situation. Turning off EVDO would be ridiculous, I use it a lot.
