Also if you are using the new stock rom, you might want to search for the tethering hack and run it on your device. Hope this helps!

I've done all that already, I tether everyday just fine. Today however it will not work. I can use Opera and PIE just fine on my phone as well as Slingplayer Mobile, but when I tether I can not connect to anything. People are also complaining about this issue on sprintusers.com...lets hope its only temporary

Re: Did Sprint block tethering?

I'm tethered right now using my Sprint Vista ROM. No additional modifications to the registry or settings. Just plugged it in and clicked connect.

And here I am posting this message right now using my Phone as a Modem to tell you all Sprint did not block your ICS. Use my ROM, NFSFAN's ROMS, Old Man Jenkin's ROMS or install my ICS fix cab and you will be fine.

Re: Did Sprint block tethering?

Using Dan's lite ROM with the requisite registry edits, and everything is working fine. Posting using ICS even as we speak.......now back to my cable connection and let my phone have the rest of the night off. It's been quite busy today, playing around with GPSToday......

Re: Did Sprint block tethering?

I use stock rom and tether about 10 hours a day and did not have any major problem of not connecting. soft reset mostly do the trick. right now I am using it. I have a touch with stock official update rom

Re: Did Sprint block tethering?

I tried it just now and it wasn't working for me either. It turns out that the DNS server is not working. I could enter IP addresses in my browser and it worked but not names. You might want to consider using open dns in your network config. This is what fixed my issue just now. Open your pc's adapter for your phone. Open the network properties and open TCPIP. Change your DNS settings to 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.

This fixed it for me anyways.
This post has been thanked 2 times.

You are the greatest person ever!!!

I have windows vista so it took me a few minutes to find the IPv4 settings to change the DNS...BUT IT WORKED!!!!

If you were next to me I'd hug and kiss you right now...you have no idea how much I need tethering.

A million thanks!

Re: Did Sprint block tethering?

There must have been a sprint outage yesterday around 4:30ish EST because I received the ERROR 67 when attempting to stream a podcast with conduit pocket player.

Works fine now.
