Roam only for phone service but no data?

Is there any way to make the vogue go on forced roam only for the phone services?
When i use the registry edit for adding the roam only, it automatically goes on both data and phone rather than just phone. I get great coverage for EVDO but bad for phone - so it would be better if i can roam only phone.

i think it has more to do w/ our PRL file, but i could be wrong... been trying to get this figured out myself.

back before i upgraded my rom to 6.1 i could use 'force roam' for phone service but still get data transmitted as well although not at EVDO speeds.

since upgrade to 6.1 i now use 'force roam' (through registry hack) for phone service but am unable to get any data transmission.

That's not the issue I'm having. The roam only option is working fine for calls and data it's just that I'm roaming on Verizon which limits data speed to 1xRTT. It'd be great to get the best of both worlds: Verizon's excellent voice coverage and Sprint's excellent EV-DO all without having to change phone settings all the time.

That's exactly what im looking for. It's getting annoying to have to take off the roaming just to get data usage.

i found the list of prl's here, but how do i know which one to use?
