Using gps signal from phone to laptop

Can anyone help me out. I tried searching and for the life of me can't find it. I thought I remember reading somewhere, just don't remember where someone mentioning they were able to use their gps on their vogue to send signals to their laptop's gps software. Any one know how to do this or where I can find information on doing it?
