Can Hear talking before answering call

Sometimes I can hear the other line before I answer the phone... Last night I heard my wife say "pickup the damn phone" (she was calling me from the store) and I did confirm she said this just after dialing me while the phone was ringing... It was sitting on the desk in front of me... This has happened about 6 times before... I can hear people talking before I answer the phone... anyone else experience this?

I am going to go ahead and say it, this would be the sweetest addition to cell phones since the camera... If I could hear the people calling me singing while the waited for me to answer, I would never get rid of the phone with this capability... But no, I have never had this happen.

It has happened to me twice today, and a few times before, but I thought it was all in my head until I heard it twice today

it happens. usually when another sprint customer calls. Used to be a feature on sanyo phones.

the two times mine happened today, one was a local land line calling, not sure who the carrier was, and the other was landline from another state, I'm in NC and they are in Chicago

both times, mine was the only non-land line phone

lol, back in the late 70's we used to do this ON PURPOSE. It was called "blue boxing" or "black boxing" or one of those. It was a great way to get free LD phone calls. Doesn't work now with computer controlled switches.

It isn't the FIRST time I've heard of it happening on a cell phone, I think there was another thread here about a month or 2 ago on it.

This is normal (in a sense), many users have had this happen before. Happens with Mogul also.

Would be nice if someone figures out how to make this into a feature that can be turned on/off.

Me too....it happening to my touch and I like it...it was fun...I used to let the phone ring and ring forever. I believe the phone never went to voicemail.
