Re: Battery Life Management (Vogue, dHarvey)

It's out of stock right now but can be easily found on eBay.

This is the one I bought and personally I think that the hump actually helps it fit in my hand better.

Ok so it doesn't fit in the OEM leather case too well but an OEM Mogul leather case fixed that problem quick.

Ok, I reinstalled the battery tweak cab and this seemed to help.

Did the battery tweak cab come with the ROM itself? If not, where can I get it?

Re: Battery Life Management (Vogue, dHarvey)

You know whats interesting about this rom and battery usage. I had posted about it a few times and and others have also. But I'm on vacati right now and I'm roaming with 1X displayed on the phone and my batter life has been grreat, with the extended Seido battery on I have been checking emails and ICS for internet and at the end of the day it's at 70%. The only thing that it's not doing is checking email every 30 minutes. I have 3 email accounts, SBCglobal, Gmail, and an Exchange server for work. When I get back to "reality" I'm turning off mail sync and see what happens.

I know it's for WM5, but any chance those registry edits will work on WM6.1? What exactly do they disable?

Yes the battery tweak is in the kitchen. All it does it turn on power management.

Think maybe it's sticking to some and not others? I dunno man, been a few other weird stuff with it, so ya never know. Seemed to do better when I re-did it.

Re: Battery Life Management (Vogue, dHarvey)

Any application that is requesting GPS data will drain the battery quickly. Use 'dotFred Task Manager' and with 'Google Maps' running notice the CPU difference with 'Use GPS' on versus 'Use GPS' off. The short life with GPS active may be one reason the phone providers were reluctant to enable the GPS. I can watch my 1% meter drop every 5-10 minutes if I leave a GPS application running.

The 2.8 or 2.7.2 version (I forget which) was a battery hog for me, but it got back to normal, if not better with this last version. This is the first time I have been totally happy with the GPS performance of the phone, too. For me, it has been the best ROM I've tried. I guess that's why I sent him $20! LOL! And well worth it!

To the right of the battery bar (top right corner) there's a small icon (3 horizontal lines with an arrow). Touch it and you'll open up a horizontal drop down menu with an x button (applications you're currently runnig), a floppy disc looking icon (task manager), and a chip icon. TO the right of the chip icon, you'll find a percentage. This is your processor usage.
Ah, thanks! I don't use that task manager, since I use Wisbar, so no wonder I could not find it. Now that you describe it, I clearly remember seeing that percentage back when I had the stock ROM, but I never knew it was processor usage.
