GRRR! Radio frustration. Plz read

I have been trying to install the 3.35.04 radio on my Sprint HTC Touch phone. I have done a lot of searches but have not been able to find a answer to my problem. I have followed various step by step methods and still not been able to get it to work.
I am running an older JD rom and have downloaded the titan radio 3.35.04. I get a error message because it isn't a titan phone. I know I am missing a step but I have tried various methods and get nowhere. If any one has a specific link for vogue radio upgrades or knows the programs and the steps, please post them here.
