How safe is dashwire?
THIS MAY SOUND PARANOID, BUT DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW SAFE DASHWIRE IS? I USE IT NOW, AND TOLD A FRIEND ABOUT IT. HE SAID "HOW DO YOU KNOW SOME ONE IS'NT READING OR USING YOUR INFO OR PICS FROM THIS WEB SITE?"... GOOD QUESTION. SO DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHY IT IS FREE? WHAT IS THE CATCH TO BEING FREE? AND WHO CONTROLS OR MONITORS THIS SITE?
ANY ANSWERS WILL HELP, OR I'M SUSPENDING MY USE OF THIS VERY CONVENIENT TOOL...:???::scratch: |

Re: How safe is dashwire?
Just a quick note from us: In regards to the privacy/security issue, we want users to know we take that topic very seriously around the office. Your information is stored in your own private account which is password protected and HTTPS encrypted (similar to Facebook). We never prowl through anyone's information and do not sell or plan to sell any of your personal information. We definitely understand in a world where security breaches seem to happen too often, there is a concern for privacy. Our main goal is to ensure user safety and protect you from any privacy interruptions.
Hope that helps... |
Re: How safe is dashwire?
Well said, "Dashy"...
I'm sure none of us users would like to see our "private" pictures circulating around your office or the net!!! hahahahaha... (many girlfriends would become very angry)... But as others have said, we all should be aware that there is always an amount of risk when uploading information into a network... lan, wan, internet, whatever... For instance, you couldn't prevent somebody from going to your personal public homepage at Dashwire and taking a screenshot of one your shared pictures and then post it somewhere else on the internet... that is something we all have to learn to live with. My $0.02. |
