GPS on alltel touch with dharvey 2.7.2 rom

I have flashed my rom with dharvey's rom 2.7.2. This is the first time I have ever flashed my phone to a different rom than it was shipped with. I am absolutely in love with some of the features that this rom has but i am unable to get the gps to work and that was one of the main reasons for flashing my rom. Does anybody have an alltel touch that has been able to get the GPS to work? Or even anybody who can give me a walkthrough on how to set up the gps with the 2.7.2 rom. I would greatly appreciate any of your suggestions.

p.s. - I know it was designed as for a sprint phone but i was informed that it would work i just wouldn't be able to use the sprintv and telenav.
