Blackberry Push Email

What is all the fuzz and the hoopla for Blackberry and their push email....Just had someone send me an email to my hotmail account (windows live) and at the same time another person with a blackberry and I noticed that our emails arrived EXACTLY at the same time......Go Figure.

blackberry email is realtime with your mailbox. i dont have a hotmail acct and i dont use windows live really, so i dont know much about it.

i used to have a BB and i could delete emails from my web box and they would dissappear from my phone.

they are also highly secure (triple aes des) up to gov't standards. They are also the most reliable for push email. Also, companies and push service books and programs to the devices without the user having to do anything.

You are lucky to have your hotmail push to you reliably, mine never did, so I have to use an exchange server. BB devices aren't as exciting as this one, but their email is the best.

My Windows Live is pretty reliable, but it'll only sync email and contacts (and even contacts it won't sync the pictures set to their profile). With Exchange, I could sync email, contacts (with pictures), notes, tasks, calendar, etc.

IMO, Exchange sync is just as good as BB if not better. I'm not sure about the security though, I don't know how much security you can enable on an Exchange server.
