I had a replacement phone and it would not update to any 6.1. When I took it to the sprint repair store the traded it for another Touch. The problem was solved.

remove the full screen keyboard program. I had the same problem and it seems as thought the keyboard program was the root of the prob. I eliminated it and it has been perfect since. Just my 2 cents
