Hey i ran into this a while back as well and one thing i always tell ppl is to look at the space on your memory card... We all know the the vogue is known for "deleting your data" but actually it is more like corrupting sectors on your card to the point were it is no longer readable. *if the card still shows that there is data or space takin up then your data is still available. You just have to find the right program to read the sectors
Send me your email add and i will forward u this program that i use for my company. it should recover all of the data that was stored without any hidden cost.

ironically i was at a Tiger's baseball game and the same exact thing happened to me also. I just re-installed everything, which blew, even tho I used spb backup to re-install, but didn't work. I had to do it all 1-by-1 and now my card is half full because it has doubles of everything basically?

Wait doubles?? were u able to recover your lost data or did u just recopy what you had on top of the other stuff.. Just remember that since the card already has bad sectors it may be prone to fail again, you might want to do a data recovery or just copy the card exactly how it is to your desktop and format it. It it doesnt take a format you might not want to continue using it or may even want to trade it in if under warranty. Allot of these cards have one year warranties and if you call the company many will send you a new one, no charge.

I have this same problem, but can I run this exe with my phone connected via Active synce or Windows mobile device center? And then with the card in the phone?

The problem is that after it does this and you see that it can recover, then you have to pay $60.00 to get the program to copy the data to your laptop. Still good to know the data is on there but I will need to look into other programs as well to see if it can be duplicated.

Here is the link:

http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-software.htm

Download GetDataBack for Fat32 to your pc and put the card in a storage reader. Select the card from the list and it will recover from there.

I will update once I have completed.

Did you get the PM?

Ran into this issue a couple times although there was no "message" to speak of - I just turned the phone off, removed the card, turned the phone on used it for a time then back off and inserted the card and turned the phone back on - all data was back and no issues.

As for the comment about the genius' on this board that cant come up with a solution - allow me to enlighten you on a little tip I gathered from years in the Information Technology field - if the data is important then back it the F up after all you dont store your important documents like birth certificates and house/land deeds and such in your fireplace or oven, its YOUR data YOU take care of it.

The people here offer insight and information FREE of charge, they are NOT here to be your personal helpdesk, if you get the help great if you cant be bothered to plan ahead dont blast people on the site doing this for free of their own good reasons
