Wierd question?

I've noticed that if your battery is dead on a cdma network, such as with my vogue on sprint it will go to voicemail almost immediately. However on GSM networks like Tmobile/ATT it seems to lag for awhile. I just want to know why this is? And if this i wrong if there is a way to find out if someones battery is dead to illiminate excuses?

difference in technology. cdma is a dynamic hanshake/ecc, where gsm is more like a broadcast stream. that's why gsm doesn't "drop" as many calls..
pick you poison though,, I just wish cdma would "hold" the connection for just a few more seconds so I don't have to redial after every valley.
