That won't work, because the red icons are part of the "HTC Home Verizon" plugin. It's similar to our Sprint Touch's "HTC Home Sprint" plugin. It is NOT the "HTC Home" plugin that has all the options provided by HHC. If you don't follow what I'm saying, it might help to look at your Today Screen plugins, here:

Start > Settings > Personal (default tab) > Today > Items (tab)

I'm quite certain there are at least a couple different ways you can have those red icons. Of course, you need to get ahold of the icons themselves, probably from some kind soul with the Verizon version of Touch. Also, you'd have to tell your Touch operating system to show your newly acquired icons. One way to do this would be by hacking the two XML files that control the HTC Home Sprint plugin's icons and shortcut links. There's info re this approach here:

That what I was trying to say, Mr. G - see if someone will post the icons to the forum for pocketemu's "HTC Home Customizer". I typed my reply too quickly - should have capitalized "home" and added "Customizer app".

HTC Home Customizer from emu is for the clock and tabs below it, not for the row with the icons Susanna wants. But, don't worry about it. You're jumping in and being helpful, that's what counts. I'm hoping somebody pops those red babies up so I might grab 'em too! Meanwhile, there may be some code in the XML pointing to the files where the icons could be lifted from. Also, I recall seeing some posts on xda-developers forum mentioning envy for those red icons. Searching xda might turn them up?

ACTUALLY, i had those icons on my sprint touch... i'ma let you in on how to do it, but its not gunna make you happy lol (sorry i don't mean to laugh) ok i did this with the latest rom 3.03 from DCD...

After a hard reset, i DID NOT let the sprint customization run, so i soft reset with my stylus as soon as the window "will now customize your device in 3 sec...."...

after my touch rebooted, the red (instead of yellow) icons were there...

Okay, after attempting to decypher the XML code, it looks to me like that the icons are bitmap files, and each one has an associated mask which is also a BMP. Here are the icon file names for Sprint:

ql_music.bmp
ql_music_mask.bmp
ql_phone.bmp
ql_phone_mask.bmp
ql_photos.bmp
ql_photos_mask.bmp
ql_search.bmp
ql_search_mask.bmp
ql_tv.bmp
ql_tv_mask.bmp

Now, if some helpful Verizon Touch geek would kindly look in your /Windows/ folder for files starting with QL in lower case, then maybe you could just zip up and post all your QLs? It would be appreciated, MrG

I have a xv6900 but have a customized rom built from the kitchen. Now that I know the names of the files, I'll look to see if I have them. If not, I can build a rom in the kitchen and get the files, but just would need to know what I need to include (I don't include the htc home in my roms, so maybe that's it).

Duh - in Sprint it's called the OperatorLauncherPlugin or something like that....
