Unable to receive files through bluetooth transfer method

I'm running on the Sprint ROM version 3.03.61.2, Radio 3.42.30. I've been facing a pretty weird problem.
I can pair my handset with all other bluetooth enabled handsets and am able to beam data to them, but when I try to send files/data from those very same handsets back to my Touch, my phone doesn't pick them up.
What could be causing this "one way traffic"??
I mean, if you can send files from your phone, you should be able to "receive" them as well, right?
Am I missing out any configuration step, if any?
I hope somebody will be able to point out a solution for me. Thank you.
