I have the ATI drivers and so do several others. I have the registry hooks and everything and have already implemented them into my ROM but there are more then just the ATI drivers that we need to get everything working properly.

Installing CorePlayer right now. I've been flashing so much I haven't tried my new ROM's video capabilities yet but I'm about to.

EDIT:: Using DirectDraw in CorePlayer watching "The Fast and The Furious - Tokyo Drift", I would say that I see a marginal difference at best.

Turning on the microdrive buffer and switching to either RawFrameBuffer or GDI helps significantly when watching the same movie. It's still not amazing but works.

I imagine the videos you are running in the Core
Player are .AVI and even with the addition of
Drivers you added it still not as smooth as
you like it to be.

Test out this player.

I been running it on my touch for almost a week now
And it has flawlesly played .AVI movies
with no problems. I am talking about 700 to 900mb movies.
with great playback despite the drivers.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely check it out. I'm actually watching A full length 900MB full length movie in CorePlayer and it is smooth if I use the GDI buffer with microdrive.

Let me check out that player now.

EDIT:: Wow that's almost good. Is it using the DirectDraw or some other buffer?

It really doesnt give much details
of what buffers it uses and doesnt
give you all the features of the core
but I personally think it runs the videos
more smoothly than the core.

I'll do $20. Probably more if it's actually released. Why not create an escrow account to hold the money. After 6 months if it isn't out refund all the money. If someone actually develops it you can send the money without trying to collect. Plus it will give the developers the security that they actually will get the money.

I'm not talking about the TCPMP. I'm talking about the CorePlayer and I know that if you configure the CorePlayer right it plays video very smoothly. I have a ~~32000 GDI glyph cache and I have the micro drive buffer enabled and configured so I an play movies as smooth as a dvd on a tv.

That's a good idea but I don't want to be responsible for the money.

Use an Escrow service. Escrow.com charges 3.25% for the first 5000 and 0.26% for anything beyond that. That way the developers know for SURE that the money is good. Only thing is we'd all lose 3.25% of what we are pledging if it falls through.

This isn't a typical transaction they would take on but I'm sure they could accommodate.

I have both tcpmp and core and
I get the same choppy playback no
matter what. I use microdrive, gdi
or raw frame buffer and the results
are the same. The only times I can
get smooth playback on the core or
tcpmp is when the file is under
600mb and kbs is under 768
