I'm working with someone close on this and all I can say is that it works with only one issue, which I'm working on getting fixed at the moment. I will not disclose anymore than this.

The drivers posted by Dharvey are more or less pointless...The Vogue does not have the ati hardware, it could at most use probably an emulation. However the D3D hardware that it does have works just as well as the one on the kaiser. A little surprise for all: TCPMP mpeg4 benchmark DirectDraw 185% with avg 55.41 fps, size of 1 minute file (5 mb)

looking forward to it! keep us updated

Post#1 quotes the kaiser at about 120fps. 55.41 fps is a far cry from that. Maybe benchmark the same clip with and without your changes?

It really depends on the clip's quality...Without D3D it runs at most 1 fps.

Of course, but who renders that way? The question is how much improvement over the stock driver are you getting?

Improvement over the stock driver is as I said, from 1fps to 55fps. I think that is quite a lot.

What's wrong with your vogue? 1fps is like using gdi. You should be getting at least into the 20s.

In TCPMP directdraw did not use to run any higher than 1fps. It would play the video for about a second or two, then only the audio.

um, yeah, I don't understand how this would be possible, unless you made a bad ROM, default is to fallback to the MS standard directdraw included in sys. The HTC crappy reference hook was slower and 1/2 broken, but, it still played, and definitely faster than 1fps.

maybe you overloaded your ROM?... forget to run g'reloc? .. bad xip?... i think it runs fine on stock too..

misuse of the word driver is also happening here, DDI is the driver, d3dm and ddraw are "hooks". In the end, to fix slow ddraw, you only had to delete a registry key (hence, causing fallback to MS reference driver in sys).
