New Text wont go away!!! HELP!?

Ok so this started yesterday and I have done everything I have thought of to fix it but it just wont go away... so to the problem

There is a notification that says there is one unread text message. But thing is, there isnt an unread message. I have even deleted all my texts... Is there a way to reset the text messages like we can with the voice mail icon? Thanks for any input!!!

No idea is a bad idea

Re: New Text wont go away!!! HELP!?

i had this happen to me before.. the only way i was able to fix it is to hard reset... or have someone send you a text message and then open it and goto file and close.. it should trigger the counter to reset to zero

Ya tried that too, didnt work. Is there anything to do in the registry that can reset the counter? I figured a hard reset would fix it I just didnt feel like re-setting up my device again If some smart individual on here could fix it... Thanks though!

Soft reset multiple times and also power cycled the phone multiple times. It almost seems that as soon as I installed the new sMMS program is when it happened.
