Connection Error IMCOKEMAN RUU VISTA

Please im very new to this.

Im trying to flash my rom on my Sprint Touch.

I have found detailed instructions on how to complete the process EXCEPT:

After running his program it sets my phone to 2.0

Then when i try to run the RUU (im on vista 32bit) it recognizes the version of 1.xxx.xx and says it will update to UNLOCKER_2.31

When it goes to do the update ACTIVESYNC disconnects and RUU has a connection error.

I have tried soft and hard reseting it and even tried making the activesync enable when in the boot loader when i do pwr,cam reset...It says SPL-.36.0000

just flash the rom via sd card

I dont know how to do that......

I intend on finally installing the ALMOST OEM V3.0 ROM available but thats in a few steps

just extract the rom on your desktop and rename the ruu.nbh file to vogueimg.nbh then format your sd card to fat32 place that .nbh file that you renamed in the sd card after you format it put it back in your phone open up the bootloader and it will start loading the rom

I attempted to use the 250KB vogimg2.nbh on an SD CARD and it just froze saying loading

I attempted to use the ALMOST OEM NBH file as well and all it does is say loading for a second that back to the SPF .36 thing

I dont know what to do here, i cant make a usb connection within RUU and i have had no luck doing this with an SD CARD

AGAIN im following instruction to go from 2.00 to 2.31 then the custom ROM i want....
