HTC Bluetooth Issue with Nissan
Hi guys, I have a Verizon 6900 that dosen't fully work with my Nissian Altimia Bluetooth. I've found a lot of complaints on various boards about this but no real solution. I was hoping maybe somebody here could help.
For those that don't know what I'm refering to, there seems to be a known issue with HTC phones and Nissian's in dash bluetooth where the sound is real bad and the person calling can't hear you. The work around I found as I hunted around was to transfer the call back to the handset and then back to the bluetooth. While this works it's really annoying. Anyone know of any patches or even customs ROMs that might fix this? I still have the stock ROM, but have been working up the courage to flash anyway. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

No issues with my Maxima. Haven't heard a complaint, but I'm also using the "leaked" sprint rom

It's all over the forums at HTC site and a few Nissan forums, that's where I found the work around. Maybe it was fixed in the new Sprint ROM.

Any link? What's the "work around?" I haven't had any issues, but I have several friends with Nissans that may be getting HTC products.

Re: HTC Bluetooth Issue with Nissan
FYI, if you use either the 3.37.10 or 3.37.15 radios, BT connectivity is improved greatly... It fixed the problems I had with my pioneer BT unit...

Re: HTC Bluetooth Issue with Nissan
The work around is to transfer the call from the bluetooth to the handset and then back to bluetooth. That clears it up. The issue seems to have something to do with the inital handshake. A Veriion tech suggested I switch to the 760, but after years with ny 730 I'm loving my touch too much to go back.
