Send Outlook appointment via SMS ?

Is there any way to send an appointment to someone's phone via SMS? I know it can be done via Bluetooth if you're in the same room, but what about several miles away? Excluding e-mail because, believe it or not, I know someone with a Touch who has the Internet access disabled on his account. He only uses his Touch for the Outlook Calendar feature.
