Exclamation Is there any way to disable the keypad backlight while keeping the LCD backlight on?

I am very interested to know... Is it possible to completely disable the backlight(the green and red buttons) on the keypad while the LCD's backlight is on?

I would like the buttons to glow only when on a call but if that is not possible then I will not mind, I spend hours and hours playing solitaire and bubble breaker on my phone and those 2 glowing buttons get annoying after a while...

Please any help would be appreciated.

There's an app on XDA that might help you. It's called nueLEDcontrol and is discussed (along with nueLED) here:

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked it out but it seems that it only allows customization of the LED's up near the earpiece. I am looking to disable the red and green LED's down in the "Call" and "End Call" buttons.

Re: Backlight question... Extremely interested, Please Help.

Sound like an interesting suggestion. I assume they are controlled by the same device as the backlight, because they turn off when the screen does. It would probably then be much harder to disable them, let alone have them identify when you are in call.

But then again, I thought it was impossible to control the Signal LED...

Re: Is there any way to disable the keypad backlight while keeping the LCD backlight

Unfortunately not. The LCD and send/end key share the same light source(on the board). One cannot be on without the other.

Re: Is there any way to disable the keypad backlight while keeping the LCD backlight

Go into the backlight control panel, move the slider all the way to the left, and the green and red buttons will turn off, but the LCD will still be on.

But you've found more for me, like that SPB calculator, YouTube player updates, and of course the helpful pics for LCD, digitizer, and faceplate replacement. Still using that calculator, but with my own Vogue style skin:

Re: Is there any way to disable the keypad backlight while keeping the LCD backlight

Wow, sorry man, I must be in a foul mood or something today, I did not mean to, or even realize I was being a **** in my post. Honestly, I've never came on here and tried to act like a hot shot or think that I know more than anyone else, and I really don't know why I would have came off like that today. Again, really sorry, no harm meant at all.
