i flashed a new rom using the kitchen..and now my mms isnt working...what do i have to do to get it working?

i have the xv6900 for verizon..i tried searching but didnt come up with anything..

it took me forever to find this.. and a lil testing but this is what i use.

i install the arcsoft cab i will attach here, this is the one extracted from diamond.. pretty much any version works

then go into the text messaging(might have to reset) and go to mms option.. make it like my picture. name doesn't matter

then go into registry and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Arcsoft/Arcsoft MMS UA/Config/mm1/Wspheader and change the following

X-VzW-MDN: "YOU NUMBER HERE"
Accept-Charset: us-ascii;utf-8;iso-10646-ucs-2;ISO-8859-1( u should only have to erase the last 2 semi colons)
wap-Profile: http://uaprof.vtext.com/utstar/xv69k/xv69kv1.xml
User-Agent: utstar69kv1

when i go into the registry edit i do not have the value: X-VzW-MDN: "YOU NUMBER HERE"

this is what is in the registry

Default - "value not set"
Accept
Accept-Charset
Accept-Language
hmac-md5-key
Profile
User-Agent

should i change the default to X-VzW-MDN

With the kitchen I have the same problem, a reboot seems to fix it then the text message seems to come in shortly after.

sorry i forgot to mention i created a new string value named that and u just put ur number in as the data value.. weird i just looked and i don't have default or hmac.. u can try to place it there if u would like and then test it by sending urself an pic msg or have someone else.. u can also do it from vzw.com

Hey Soccer...

I found this thread and posted it in the OMJ forum a couple after you and didn't even realize it.

Did you try flashing with OMJ's ROM? I did all your other settings, but I couldn't get to a window that allowed me to copy your settings from your attached picture....did you have any luck or other suggestions?

i flashed omj's verizon rom just to see what was the deal and it seemed to work without any mods to it.. it took 3 tries to send my first pix msg but that could have been my bad signal at the time.. i was able to send and recieve.

i too could not get into the server settings of omj's mms for some reason.. i have no idea y

I cannot get into the sever settings using JD's Hybrid rom. I am using arcsoft MMS 5.0.31.16.

Please let me know how to unlock the server settings... thanks!

Havn't been able to get pic messaging to work. All the config setting are correct, but everytime I try to send the registry entry"X-Alltel-MDM reappears. Amy ideas? I'm using the version of arcsoft that comes with the stock alltel rom. I'm on VZW.

Install the attached file, and then edit the following registry keys (if your device's MMS Options>Server is locked)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI
and change the key
EnableServerEdit from 0 to 1

Edit your server settings to match the following:

I've not tried the newer version, but I've used 4.2.8.1 (I think that's the number) on both my xv6700 and xv6900 with the same registry edits. Do a search for arcsoft and you'll find the cab for the version I mentioned.

.. i haven't had a problem with it except for when i flashed to omj's verizon rom.

when i installed v5 (both versions), i looked in the registry and there was no EnableServerEdit key

I'm on JD's ROM and can't get MMS to work. Its not even installed. I can edit the options, but its not an option when I want to send a pic. Any ideas?

bobbravo2....i installed your version and the mms server options that i see aren't like your picture

the options are all the same until it gets to send limit (my only option is 600k) and i don't have the next option regarding WAP version...

its not installed on jd's rom .. he uses sprint and doesnt include mms in there cause he tries to make it as clean as possible... u can install one of the cab's from the thread or just google arcsoft mms... then do the changes to reg and to server settings

just do what i did in my post.. send limit doesn't matter.. wap should also be fine if left alone

u have to do the regedits as well..

should i make another "Profile" string or use the wap profile key already there?

Thats what I was hoping. I've already tried installing it. I don't get an MMS icon in my Programs folder and when I want to send a pic message, SMS/MMS is greyed out.

When I'm in text messaging, I can change the options for MMS, but I still can't send anything.

let me double-check. It let me modify the server settings in the GUI without editing the registry.

has this been tested on sprint, and does the phone number have to be seperated by a dash or is it straight.... ex (XXX) XXX-XXXX or XXXXXXXXXX.

If your using the kitchen, the easiest thing to do is also download dcd's titan kitchen from xda. He has a VZW only oem for arcsoft that requires no other editing. Just import that file into the kitchen and your done, no messing with settings every time you flash.

Followed soccerman's directions.....I think I have it working too. Decent lag, but it seems to be working. I don't really like the way it shows up in the threaded text mode (hard to select it one handed), but at least its there.

hmm tried to setup arcsoft MMS 5.0.31.16 on new rom i installed but SMS just gives me Error: Ok a lil while after trying to send a multimedia message.

I tried the settings in registry and also the MMS Options->Server settings in registry. Any ideas?

I went to registry and added a DWORD key EnableServerEdit, set its value to 1.

Then went into Messaging->MMS Options and went to Servers tabs, and set the server with those options posted earlier.

My other registry settings are:
HKLM/Software/ArcSoft/ArcSoft MMS UA/Config/mm1


X-VzW-MDN: "2670001234"
