Sprint Touch to Verizon - Plz Help a Newbie!

Hello All -

Love the Touch but hate the white Verizon version. Is it possible to buy a Sprint Touch and flash it with a Verizon ROM?

I know there is a "kitchen" where you can "bake" a ROM - but I have no idea how that process works and the complexity. If possible, if someone could walk me step by step through that process and where I can obtain the files.

If I did flash a Verizon ROM onto a Sprint Touch would Verizon give me problems in transferring my number from my existing phone over to the Touch?
