Re: Known Verizon Issue with cracked outer casing
A note of special interest to those of you having the cracked issue - I just listened to a recording of the call I made to Verizon. The rep's name that was so helpful to me was Sandra, and she spoke with a mild Hispanic accent.

Apparently though it is a refurb - the shipped me the main part of the phone with a stylus - no battery and no back plate. Looks brand new though - so - I can't complain too much. |

Actual number to be dialed is ##778 then SEND.
Here's what it gave it - if what you're telling me is right, this ISN'T a refurbished phone! |

Re: Known Verizon Issue with cracked outer casing
I don't think that will always say. I just had my XV6800 replaced under warranty. They sent me just the phone, no battery, nothing else. I checked it and it also sait it was not a refurbished phone. But the life timer was at somewhere in the 20 hours. So it was definitely not a new phone. I would say for sure though, yours is new.

Re: Known Verizon Issue with cracked outer casing
I also had a XV6900 crack and they stated that they did not know anything about it. I went to look at their display and guess what it was cracked also same as mine. They had nothing to say but here you go a new one sir!!!

Re: Known Verizon Issue with cracked outer casing
Basically gives a little more "deep internal" data from the phone , for lack of a better way to put it!
I used it to see how long the phone has been in use in it's lifetime... At the time I posted it, I had been playing with it for an hour, so, it definitely was a new phone. |

Glad they got it straightened out for you! Something I noticed different about the new phone versus the old one. My old phone , when it went into landscape mode, I had to hold it so that the D pad was on the right... This phone does it so that I have to hold it to the left. Not sure if this is user configurable - but I like it much better this way! |

Re: Known Verizon Issue with cracked outer casing
I have this problem too, I had noticed, it but wasn't sure if it was a crack or a seam, my eyes don't work so well... I will go to the verizon store and ask, they're pretty good about that stuff. Any idea if it causes functionality problems, or is merely cosmetic?
