GPS Camera?

I noticed that in Schapp's Advanced Configuration Tool, there is a setting to enable GPS photo.

How do you actually use this feature? I see nothing in the camera application to utilize this information. Is there a new camera application I can download?

Now that we pretty much have the GPS set on the Vogue, (except for A-GPS, at least for me,) it almost seems viable that we could geo-tag our photos... I always thought it was cool that my old cell phone tagged them automatically...

i don't use that app, but i know there is something called gps photo tagging.

without getting technical, that is where you take a picture of something and it will tag your photo with your location so you know where the picture was taken at.

my guess it's a feature that was never fully implemented, yet?

It simply adds your GPS location to the picture's EXIF data.

I have looked, and I can't seem to find a simple solution to do GPS tagging. There are some third-party programs that don't work anything like the HTC camera application... Is the app you guys are talking about something that runs in tandem with the stock camera app?

there is a program called e-Mobile GPS Tracker

search google. it's not free but a good app. everything on the 'net is free if you know where to look

Cool, I'll check it out... I wish there was an HTC Camera application replacement (because several HTC devices support GPS natively--like the Touch Cruise, and the Kaiser,) but I guess I shouldn't hold my breath.

Although, maybe some of those devices already support GPS tagging, and no one has even thought to cab the app and take it off, (if possible.)
