Nakedcellphone 2400 mAh Battery w/cover review

I was going to order the Seidio 2000 mAh batter and cover but since shipping to Hawaii was going to cost me $20, I decided to get the one from Ebay sold by Nakedcellphone - EXTENDED BATTERY 2400mAh FOR SPRINT HTC TOUCH XV6900.

I got it at the $69.99 price with the $5.95 shipping and received my item in 5 days. My item came in yesterday and was charged over night so I don't know the actual time to fully charge it. From 7a to 4p with only few calls the battery percentage at 100% did not drop. For the next 2 hours I connected to my Slingbox full screen and max volume (I'm actually surprised I didn't lose any connection) I got it to drop down to 70%. So far its working GREAT!!! I connected back to my Slingbox again almost another hour and I think I'll still be over 50%. I'm not going to charge it tonight... we'll see how it goes for another day.

The Overall thickness brings it to about 3/4 of an inch with the extended battery. Personally I thought the original was too thin for me. The feel of the cover is the same and snaps on fine. There is a small gap from the eye of the camera so it is not flush. The speaker hole does not have any surrounding inside so there is lots of space where the sound can bounce around. I can't tell if there is any difference though.

If I can figure out how to make a flush push button LED light by the camera eye I just might... there's enough room for it.

I don't know the nakedcellphone guy and not trying to sell them. Spending over $40 on a cell phone battery is damn expensive for anyone! I'm just giving you folks a review..... Aloha!

Drain it all the way down, and then charge it. Test it that way. The first charge and initial drain is always the longest on any battery.

It's great how the back cover has a 'wifi' logo!

Re: Nakedcellphone 2400 mAh Battery w/cover review

Now you got me interested..

Always wanted a much bigger battery to watch sling with.

Now I can pretty much watch sling the whole day and not worry about the battery life.

Bytheway, if you want to sell your batttery cover let me know I can use that to laser on.

thxs.

Re: Nakedcellphone 2400 mAh Battery w/cover review

Ok since this was the very first charge I'll try a couple things a few more times. I think on this first charge I was able to get almost 5 hours of Slingbox time and I may have made / received calls and used the internet for about 30 minutes total. I would think the slingbox would use the most power with the cell being connected and streaming video but let me know if you have any other suggestions. I'm on the basic JD rom with the rev a and gps and have Tomtom 6. I'll see how that works but getting a signal does take some time and I don't think I even drive more than a half hour. More later....

Nice to see someone beat me to it.
Mine should be coming in the mail next week (hopefully - Canada customs drag their heels sometimes)

Good news to me that it seems like a good product, buyers remorse sux.
