htc diamond user interface on touch?
 

just wondering... will it be possible to have the same user interface on the new htc diamond on the htc touch?

i am currenlty using photo contacts pro for photo dialing, and the new diamond seems to have a slick and cool photo dialer among other things.

so does anyone know if it will be possible?

probably not, unless someone would try to come up with a conversation, lots of programming involved and we'd need some better video drivers (htc?).. and the diamond is VGA and we have QVGA.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a company come out with a very similar interface in the next couple of months for existing PPC's. Yes, it won't be exactly the same, but very similar. As a previous software programmer, it is much easier to see an existing application like the Diamond interface and work off of that.

Mark my words, we'll see a company come out with a very similar interface before the fall. It won't be free, but it will look very similar.

Forget a company, someone from this forum or XDA will have it ported over in a few days.

I'm just hoping someone grabs the Kaiser drivers releasing soon also so that it will really look as good as it should on my touch.

Yeah, that's most likely true as well. I would imagine though that for a full interface style very much like the Diamond I don't think someone in their spare time will do it for free. I guess we'll see. If someone does, I would be more than happy to donate to make my Touch interface look like that Diamond interface.

Yeah I saw that one too. If I didn't love TouchPAL so much I would have tried it. However I agree with you it is probablly a sign of good things to come.

Yup, I'm also with TouchPal. BTW, there's a few better skins then the default for Version 3 on thier forum at Cootek.
