Re: Can't see screen in Sun light
It all depends on what type of LCD it is. The Touch is fully backlit, so if sunshine passes through the pixels, they're much less visible. Phones like the Sidekick that are not backlit, but lit from the sides have much better visibility in direct sunlight, actually they look BETTER. I'm not sure what the iPhone is, but I do know that the iPhone screen is way better than ours.

Re: Can't see screen in Sun light
Thanks for the confirmation and the explanation. I don't understand why i haven't seen anyone complain about this problem. May be most owners use it indoor? I used it outdoor about 5% so I guess I'll live with it.
Last night I read somewhere about someone found a solution to this problem so the screen is more visible when dialing in daylight. He didn't really say what program that is but he mentioned ppcgeeks. I need to find that person so I can ask. Anyone has any idea what I'm talking about or he's talking about? Thanks. |

Don't get me wrong, this is a nice phone but has such retarded flaws that could have been addressed at the time of making. Ok, rant off. I'm done. |

Re: Can't see screen in Sun light
the major problem with your rant is its just not HTC so why only bash them? the Q's or treos etc etc arent any better in the sun, infact not many QVGA screens are. You obviously have some hate for the Touch/HTC that has nothing to do with the topic here.

Re: Can't see screen in Sun light
Most LCD screens are like that.
However the Touch is MUCH better than my old laptop in sunlight. Its very dim, but still readable as long as I have it on max brightness. |
