Need help installing Java App - Music Store, Thanks!
Good Morning!
I have been having difficulty getting Bell's Music Store to install with the Esmertec Jbed Build 20070802.2.1 included with JD's Hybrid ROM. I downloaded JukeBox.jad from: http://bellmobility.groovemobile.net...stallcheck.cgi Then in Esmertec: Menu - Install - Local Files, search finds JukeBox, click Go, the follwing error appears: JukeBox.jad cannot be installed because critical information is not formatted correctly and is invalid. -28 Please contact the application provider for more information. Does anybody know how to get the Bell Music Store functioning? Any help is apreciated! Thanks, Audi2Audi. |

Re: Need help installing Java App - Music Store, Thanks!
Good Afternoon!
C-HUNK & I are friends & he was following up on a conversation we had had in person. Basically it boiled down to us getting the music store to install on a rom which included the correct Java Midlet Manager that supported the Sprint Music Store. Navigating on the device to http://bellmobility.groovemobile.net...stallcheck.cgi & installing the Bell Music Store. However, we were left without a shortcut to launch the Bell Music Store as Music.exe would launch the Sprint Music Store. I sent http://bellmobility.groovemobile.net...stallcheck.cgi to him in a txt msg. The workaround was for him to navigate to the link again but select launch existing rather than install when the midlet manager prompted him. His reference to Resco was a hope that using his fiancee's stock flash we could obtain then change the preferences in the Music.lnk. Right now I would suggest anyone that desires Bell Music Store to flash the Sprint leaked rom, run PPST.exe as per the instructions here: Quote:
Hope that clears things up! Thanks, Audi2Audi |

Maybe I spoke too soon - I was not able to update the Roaming List using *22803.
Do not run PPST.exe on Bell just yet, trying to figure out a solution right now (I mean a solution that does not involve flashing back to stock ROM). Last edited by Audi2Audi; 06-01-2008 at 10:31 PM. |

Tried a few things...Didn't get anywhere. Had to flash back to stock rom, then to Leaked Sprint, and finally OMJs Bell...Then installed Bell's Music Store.

Re: Need help installing Java App - Music Store, Thanks!
Good Afternoon!
I was unable to copy the file to the Windows directory because Sprint's Music Store is cooked into the ROM. I copied the file to the temp directory on the device & executed it...Sprint Music Store launched. Are you able to make a Bell Rom that includes all of the required Music Store Java Extensions but not the Sprint Music Store itself...Then we can try installing the Bell Music Store from the link above & and copying Bell's Music.exe to the Windows directory. Thanks, Audi2Audi! |
