hgray,

Can you modify your program to start the virser_gps.dll as well I have uploaded a different set of drivers for the Vogue which can be found here. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=25407

First of all, I hate you because I should be studying for a math exam I have in 5 hours. (3:18AM right now)

Second, I'd be glad to do it. I have a Q though... Why is qccmquery.dll left out of your archive? Is it not used?

I'm building a cab this time, but will put up the exe for you in case you might get better use out of it. Having computer issues, so posting the files in a few.

EDIT: Check the first post in the thread for the updated files.

Re: GPS kick start for unsigned drivers

Not sure whats going on,.... I installed the new drivers and kick start that hgray posted, and right away Google maps told me that I was in the Atlantic Ocean near Nigeria. After a few seconds, I am just west of telegraph, just over the border from MI, in Ohio. I am in Ypsilanti, MI. I have not tested my phones GPS here yet. Also, I am still not getting any lock ons at all with Google Maps saying Seeking GPS Satellites (0).
HELP!

This has made my phone VERY unstable. It has locked on me about 3 times since installing it this morning. Sometimes after a soft-reset I'll get the calnot.exe and repllog.exe errors too.

I don't get any errors, but while running gps, my phone is fine as long as I only do gps. Haven't had too much time to play, but this is my experience so far. I could get lock with google, but not independently with garmin xt.

Re: GPS kick start for unsigned drivers

mardukeme just updated the drivers again in the other post. he said they were taking up most of the CPU/RAM, so he altered them.

I am sorry about that didn't mean to distract you from your studies. Can you post your calender with important dates on it, so I know when not to bother you, just kidding. Anyways thanks I appreciate your hard work.

I love being able to contribute, even if it is with a 6 line program! ;-)

Well, I would give up a calendar, but then again, I don't keep one! :-/

BTW, I did fail the test because I didn't attend. Though, it's no one's fault but my own. After staying up all night, and studying for it for over 14 hours straight (not including ppcgeek time), I looked at the syllabus. Then I figured out what I needed to get on the test, and determined that I had just wasted 14 hours and missed out on some much needed sleep.

It's not your fault, but it feels better to blame you! :-)

No problem, anyways I think I figured out what qccmquery.dll is used for. For example TomTom uses the dll to query which device drivers to use, and then what device port to use. An with TomTom when it is querying the port it fails to detect which port to use. That is why we need to prime the GPS port first.

Re: GPS kick start for unsigned drivers

I'm so confused between this thread and the other thread

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=25407

I'm using the new drivers (from ZIP file in the above thread which I think were extracted from files in this thread). I'm running on a Sprint Phone and GPSDaemonService no longer starts on it's own (Like it did on early Enable GPS Titan.CAB). But what's funny is it's running great with out the Service Running !!!
