Sorry, long post, but I'm feeling stuck. Phone still seems to have the problem after update with ppcgeeks 3.02gps kitchen. With S2U2 installed, it just lights up the lock screen and when you unlock it there's a new txt on the today screen. But is my problem related to the same thing? I mean having the screen light up when changing networks, vs when receiving a txt or voicemail? And if this really has been a problem since wm2003, then what is the practical work-around? I mean do we result to "phone-use controls" where we just have to teach ourselves to use the phone efficiently (ie, check it every 15 minutes. . .any ideas?). Maybe there are some "best software settings?" And by google searching, I can't seem to find anything about this, maybe if all my questions are redundant, someone can point me to some reading, then?
