Re: XV6900 discussion thread. It's been released. Now what?

ok guys just a little update on my deal....

$399 -$100 Online discount - $100 ADC - $100 NE2 - $50 mail in rebate ...

$50 AMIR for my touch

I had to fight for the deal though, spent about 20 mins on the phone.

However I still cannot seem to get the $29.99 data plan? What can I say to them when I call, because I want the $29 plan.

Also, what does the data plan actually allow me to do? Just browse online? I needed the phone to tether as well, which was an addidtional $15 on top of the $44 data plan. So what all does the data plan cover? When tethering does it use phone minutes or use the data plan?

So many questions! My phone should be here wednesday! CANT WAIT!!!

Does anyone know of a way that you can move the scroll bar from the right side to the left side in IE? I'm left handed and it's hard to see what's on the screen when I'm scrolling.

How did you get the $100 online discount and the $100 ADC? Did you have to sign up for a data plan to get the ADC? Do you happen to know the rep you spoke with?

The only discount I get is a $50 NE2 and a $50 mail-in-rebate. It says I may be eligible for the ADC. I don't see an online discount nor an ADC discount (even if I add any data plan including the "unlimited")

Re: XV6900 discussion thread. It's been released. Now what?

I got mine last Friday. At first i was not happy with the TOuchFLo and the keyboard but I found a trick for the TouchFlo. You just need to apply more pressure on the screen. For the keyboard part I'm using the Transcriber which works great for me. My complaint is Exchange email is in text mode and not HTML. The option to enable HTML email is grayed out. I called VZ support and they have no clue what I'm talking about.

Is there a setting that I can tweak to enable HTML on my email instead of text??

The Exchange Server you are connecting to has to be Exchange Server 2007. Earlier versions don't support HTML email. The server I use is 2003, so I can't get HTML email either. Not a problem with your phone, but rather the server you use.

Hey Nemanracing,

Where did you get 6.1 for your phone? Have you built a downloadable ROM yet? Thanks.

I could have sworn I was getting HTML email from my Q9cm but I guess not. I guess I was getting HTML on my POP3 emails. I'll be putting in for next year's budget for an Exchange 2007.

Re: XV6900 discussion thread. It's been released. Now what?

I received mine today 4/22/08. It shipped with WM6.0 and promptly MicroSoft tookme to an upgrade site for WM6.1. I did NOT download it or install it, because Im not sure what the impact on the UI will be, see Microsoft went out of their way on their site to show the NEW UI that comes with WM 6.1...so with this in mind..I hesitated..because of TOUCH CUBE...what happens to touchcube when i update to WM6.1...do i lose that UI? Do I have to reinstall it? If so, where do i find it. I have a lot of questions in this regard.
