Do you think that the accessories made for the Sprint touch will fit that Verizon one? I ask because I'm interested in the larger battery 1900 to be exact. The pic is from a member of this forum Sprint touch with the 1900 battery.

Re: XV6900 discussion thread. It's been released. Now what?

the sprint/alltel/bell/vzw touch is the EXACT SAME DEVICE. it runs the same hardware, has the same dimensions, has the same capabilities. youll find a few software differences, for instance sprint has their multimedia applications like sprinttv and music store, but theres nothing fundamentally different about any of them

Verizon will be offering an extended battery as well with the correct colored battery door.

I like the idea of having the black soft touch, it's feels better in yr hand I would think and not so slippery. Plus I'm already worried about it being cracked with that glossy shell.

Re: XV6900 discussion thread. It's been released. Now what?

Nemanracing or kelly,
Please please feed my addiction and post some photos. I am sure that everyone here would like to see whats on the cube, etc. I can't wait to get my hands on this thing. Some photos will make my time waiting a little easier to handle. I also have a few questions that I am sure that Sprint users have heard in the past but I need to rehash them:

1. How is the responsiveness of the device when switching between applications?
2. What sort of material is the case made of? Is it slippery?
3. What software does it come with?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

On another note, I just can't figure out why Verizon, or any carrier for that matter would cripple this device by not enabling GPS out of the box.

1. Out of the box it is very fast and smooth, it is very nice.
2. Slippery yeah kinda, its smooth painted plastic.
3. Software is mostly just your basic WM6 affair, along with touchflo and the basic cube.

And lastly VZW would cripple the GPS so that you have to pay for the use of their VZNav software which is 9.99/month. It's a way to make money... For which Blackberries already have access to and the Q9C(not music oriented like Q9M) is supposed to have out of the box...
